What is Occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy is there for anyone who has difficulty engaging in daily activities. We define occupation as anything that ‘occupies’ your time. For example, this can be showering, going for a walk, taking care of your home, working, etc. This means that the goals we work on together will help with engagement in activities that are meaningful to you and/or your family throughout your entire day.
Occupational therapy adds purpose to days.
About Me
My name is Kayla Salkeld and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I have been working as an occupational therapist in the beautiful Okanagan since 2018. I am registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC). I am currently honoured to work with individuals, families, and children to help improve engagement in daily activities. I believe that how we spend our time is important for our wellbeing; we get a sense of meaning and fulfillment from what we do. Therefore, I am here to support you to find and be able to do what is important to you.
